Make up Revolution blush palette

Hi Beauts.

I'm pretty sure that every beauty blogger and addict have tried at least one product from the brand Make Up Revolution, am I right?
I am SO impressed with everything I've bought and tried so far and haven't stopped using one thing in particular since I bought it. And that is their blush palette in 'Sugar and Spice'

Now I'm a major blush junkie and I think that my blush drawer is the most overflowing out of any other make up drawer I have. As soon as I spotted this palette in Superdrug in I snatched it up and bolted for the tills. They have two blush palettes out currently, this one which pinks and another called 'Hot Spice' which consists of more orange and peach tones.
I went for 'Sugar and Spice' as pinks and mauve's are my favourite colours to wear, and I can't really pull off anything to warm/orange toned.

This palette comes with 8 shades: 6 mattes and 2 shimmery baked shades. The blushes range from cool toned peaches to bright pinks and on the end we have a baked pink and a baked pink toned highlight shade.
I already new from using Make Up revolution single blushes in the past, that this palette would not be a disappointment in the least. And I was right.

Each blush is beyond pigmented, I literally have to ever so slightly dip the very end of my blush brush into each shade and I have enough to apply to my cheek. I never have to reapply my blush through the day as these are super long lasting and at the end of each day my cheeks still have the same amount of blush as they did when I applied in the morning

If you're yet to try anything from Make Up Revolution yet, I'd recommend giving one of their blushes a go first. I promise you won't be disappointed!!

These palettes retail for £6.00 each and can now be found in most larger Superdrugs and on the Make Up Revolution website

MUA Ever after matte palette review

Hi Beauts.

I think that I mention in every MUA review or post I write that I'm a massive fan of the brand. And once again those words shall leave my lips, I can't think of one product that I've tried and not liked.

They seem to bring out new products quite often and one thing that is pretty new is their 'Ever after' matte eyeshadow palette.

Now, it's not very often that a high street brand (of high end for that matter) bring out matte eye-shadow's, let alone a palette filled with them. So imagine my delight when I heard about MUA releasing a 10 pan neutrals one.

The shadows in this are as follows:

Unwrap - A cream highlight
Butter - A pale yellow toned highlight
Bare - A neutral light beige
Taffeta - A warmer beige
Fade - A neutral tan which is perfect as a transition shade
Penny - A medium brown
China - A taupe kind of shade
Truffle - A dark neutral brown
Fog - A blue toned medium grey
Smoke - A black

The thing I noticed whilst swatching this was that some shades appeared more pigmented than others, obviously the darker shades were easier to swatch than the lighter. However, applied to the eye they were much more pigmented than on the back of my hand.

I've watched a few reviews on youtube and people have said that they had trouble blending out some of the shades. I think that a lot of matte shadows, no matter what the brand, can take a little more effort to blend out than shimmer. However, I didn't find this palette to be any more difficult than others I've used.

Is this palette worth purchasing? I'd say so! I've used this literally every day since I bought it and I absolutely love it. You can create so many looks just using this, from day to night, and from subtle to smokey.
There's a shadow to suit everyone, and the main thing I love is that all the shades are pretty neutral so it doesn't matter if you're warm or cool toned.

Now all we need is a MUA dupe for the Naked 3 palette......hint hint ;)

Are you a fan of MUA too?

Sleek: Garden of Eden palette

Hi Beauts.

One thing I really don't need to add to my make up collection is eyeshadow, I have a ridiculous amount and always seem to reach for the same shades and palettes.
However once again Sleek suckered me in with their Garden of Eden palette and I just knew that it was one I couldn't pass up.

I only have one other eyeshadow palette from them, their Vintage Romance palette and I love it. The colours are gorgeous, the pigmentation is amazing and they blend like a dream.
The thing that attracted me to the Garden of Eden palette was the selection of colours. I have hazel eyes and two of my favourite colours to wear are purples and greens, which is exactly what this palette contains. Again like all sleek palettes, you get 12 shades, a double ended sponge applicator and a rather large mirror which makes them great for travelling.

Instead of all shimmer or matte shades, this beauty has 9 shimmers and 3 mattes which I love. There are 5 purple shades and 5green shades, and 2 brownish shades. Each shadow is named after things to do with Adam and Eve:

The pigmentation is once again amazing, there is very little fall out and they blend out great. There is definitely at least one shade that everyone will like, me? I like them all!! This is perfect for those of you who have brown, green or hazel eyes and want a little pop of colour.

What's your favourite Sleek palette?

Christmas Eve make up

Hi Beauts.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE!!

I have to, unfortunately, brave the mad shoppers today (I shall be home in time to watch The Grinch though!) to stock up on stuff for the little fluff balls. So I thought I'd do a quick post of my eye make up because it's a little bit Christmassy :) Enjoy

Here's what I used:

From the Naked Basics palette, I used Naked 2 and faint. From the Naked 2 I used Foxy and Half Baked

What I did:

* I took Naked 2 onto a blending brush and applied this through my crease as a transition shade

* Next up on a flat shader brush, I packed on Half Baked all over the lower part of my lid

* To deepen the look, I applied Faint into my outer V with a pencil brush, then blended out with a fluffy brush

* Last but not least, I used Foxy as a brow bone highlight

Hope you're all having a fab Christmas Eve so far!!
