Eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner

Hi Beauts.

Let's talk eyeliner. Felt tip eyeliner. I've used around 3 or 4 from different brands now and have loved 2 in particular so far, I'm so fickle sometimes.

Today I'm here to declare my love for the Eyeko skinny felt tip liner that I've been using for a month or so and just can't seem to give it up.

When it comes to any eyeliner, whether it be liquid or felt tip, I need the tip of the applicator to be quite short and firm. I've used liquid liners that have had a long thin and very flexible tip and I just ended up looking like someone clocked me in the eye.
This Eyeko pen is perfect; the tip is the exact size and has just enough flexibility to allow precision and it's so easy to use and control. Once you've created the line and flick your heart does so desire, it's there for the rest of the day and there ain't no budging it.
I apply my make up at 5:30 each morning, and usually get home around 6:30pm that evening and my eye make up is the exact same as that morning.

The pigmentation is intense, if you're looking for the blackest of black then this is the one you want. Not once have I had to go over my liner when using this, one swoosh and it's perfect.

It is a little more pricey (£12.00) than I've paid for liner before, but it's worth every penny. I'll definitely be repurchasing when this one dries out. Which may I add, is taking a while!! I've had this opened for quite a while and it still works like the first day I tried it.

Now I need to try their skinny mascara too!!

Have you tried anything from Eyeko? What would you recommend?

Make up Revolution liquid liner in Black

Hi Beauts.

Whenever I try something from a new brand, the first 3 things that I have to try out are their eyeliner, eyeshadow and lipstick. So when I made my make up revolution purchase I couldn't not throw their liquid liner into my basket.

As you may know, I've been pretty committed to using eyeliner pens rather than an actual liquid liner. However back before I discovered my love for the old felt tip, regular liquid liner was my holy grail product. The main thing that will win me over is the applicator followed by a close second of the actual consistency and finally the staying power.

Basically, for me a liner should have a firm applicator, I don't work well with thin brush like tips, definitely not too runny as I want to apply one coat and be good to go, and finally it needs to last all day. Let's test this bad boy out shall we?

Applicator: This is perfect. It's exactly how I like an applicator to be. It isn't too firm that I feel like my eyelid is getting dragged, but it isn't too flexible that I have no control over it. It definitely allows me to create the perfect line and wing.

Consistency: Again, perfect. It isn't too runny which is a must for me. Some liners I've used in the past have had a really thin consistency, and pretty much 'bled' so I had tiny lines of liner all along my lashline. This is really opaque too, so I only needed to apply one coat.

Do you prefer liquid liner, or a felt tip?

Barry M matte nail paint in 'Espresso'

Hi Beauts.

When it comes to nail polish, Barry M is probably my favourite brand. I find it to be long lasting, super inexpensive and the range of colours and finishes is huge, not to mention the brand is cruelty free.

Speaking of finishes, one to hit the shelves not too long ago were the matte polishes in a range of  5 shades. I did actually buy the shade 'Burgundy Crush' a few weeks ago, but the one that I really wanted to try (but was always out of stock) was the shade 'Espresso' which is a black.

Black polish is pretty much a staple for me and the idea of a matte black drew me in hook, line and sinker. I know from past experience that Barry M nail paints last quite a while without chipping, but wasn't so sure about how well the matte finish would hold up. Let me tell you, it lasted on my nails for 6 days before the tiniest chip appeared! Not bad going right?

To be honest, if my nails hadn't have grown a little bit I could have painted over the little chip up and nobody would have even noticed. This formula also seems to be the quickest to dry, I applied one coat and by the time I got to my little finger I was ready to apply a second on my thumb.

As for the matte finish, it really is matte. I did notice that towards the end of the week my nails got a tiny bit shiny but not at all as glossy as a regular polish.

If you haven't already added the matte shades to your nail polish collection, I definitely think you should.

What is your favourite nail polish finish from Barry M?

E.l.f waterproof eyeliner

Hi Beauts.

One shop I was mega excited about discovering in NYC (or rather my cousin spotted it) qas the e.l.f studio - I didn't know such a thing existed! There was no way I was going to pass up the opportunity to take a peek inside and buy a few goodies. The store itself was all white and had all of the products around the sides, definitely looked fresh and sophisticated!

Can we have an elf studio in Newcastle pretty please?

I did buy a few things and one product that I've used every day since I bought it is the waterproof eyeliner.

I'm a huge fan of MUA extreme felt liner so wasn't sure if I'd like this one or not, I don't like change sometimes.  This time however I welcome it with open arms. Felt tip eyeliner pens have fast become my favourite type of liquid liner to use, I find them so much easier to control than gel or regular liquid liner. And this bad boy hasn't let me down. I will admit, when I first used it I wasn't so sure that I'd like it as the tip is solid where as the MUA one is a little flexible.  However I persevered and found that because it wasn't at all flexible, I could create a straighter, neater and thinner line.

The product itself is extremely opaque, and isn't too wet like some other liquid liners that I've tried. As far as it being waterproof, I completely agree. Once applies this ain't budging until you use soap and water. I think I may have found my new fave liner :) Thanks elf!!

What's your favourite liquid liner?

(there seems to be a phantom picture kicking about on this page for some odd reason, don't worry it's not supposed to be there :p)
