Fab Five Favourites part 4: Eyes

Hi Beauts.

Time for my last 'fab five favourites' This time, my favourite eye products:

1 - MUA brow kit - This is my all time favourite eyebrow product. I used to prefer pencil over powder as it seemed quicker, however I know choose powder over pencil as I think it gives a more natural look. I mix the lightest and darkest shades to get the perfect colour for my brows, and I use the warm toned shade as a transition shade for my eyeshadow

2 - P.S Love felt tip liner - I'm a massive fan of a couple of felt tip liners, but since buying this one I think I've found my new favourite. The tip is perfect; not too flexible but flexible enough, it's a super black liner, it isn't too wet and it lasts all day long.

3 - Crown C200 brush - This is my all time favourite blending brush, it blows everything else out of the water! It is the perfect aize for the crease, the perfect density for blending out shadow and the best brush for applying a transition shade to the crease.

4 - Soap and Glory What's nude quad - This will always be my go to palette. It has everything you need for a natural or intense eye look. There's a matte off white highlight, a light matte beige for transition, a dark matte brown to add depth and a shimmery taupe to create a pretty smokey eye

5 - MUA Lash boom mascara - This is a a mascara that pleasantly surprised me. I was unsure whether or not I'd like the wand due to it's shape, and after using it once I fell in love. The wand gives separation, volume and length, such a great product!

Fab Five Favourites part 2

Hi Beauts.

Today I wanted to share with you all, my second installment of my 'Fab Five Favourites'. I've already posted   my fab five favourite face products, and so today thought I'd talk to you about my favourite hair products.

I'm not really big on hair care if I'm honest, but I do have a few things that I couldn't be without:

1 - Tangle Teaser - This is the only brush I use on my hair. I think everyone and their mam has one of these beauties, but if you don't it's basically a God send if you get tangles in your hair. It doesn't pull and tug at your hair when you brush over a tangle and leaves your hair static free

2 - Primark teasing comb - I don't have a fringe but I like to wear my hair in a bit of a bump at the front when I'm feeling a little rock chicky ;) and find this the best thing to use. It teases really easily without snapping hair, and it's the perfect size to pop in my bag

3 - Batiste dry shampoo - This is a life saver!! I can get away with washing my hair two to three times a week now, however on the morning of my 'hair washing day' I find that my hair needs a little freshening up so spray this on and I'm good to go for the day

4 - Superdrug coconut oil - This is the only hair treatment/mask I use. I have a full review already up here if you fancy a read. This is the best thing I've ever used. It has so many uses but I use it as a deep treatment, I apply it an hour or two before I wash my hair and when it comes to rinsing it out my hair is left smelling, feeling and looking amazing

5 - Superdrug detangling spray - Yes, this is indeed intended for kids but it's something I love to use. Because I use the tangle teaser and coconut oil, I don't really get knotty hair but I do like to show the ends a little extra love and notice a big difference i the softness of my hair when I use this

Well, that's it for this 'Fab Five Favouries' What are your must have hair products?

P.S Love 8 shade day eyeshadow palette

Hi Beauts.

Today I wanted to review something that I've been using pretty much every day since I hauled it, and that is the P.S Love day eyeshadow palette from Primark.

I started a new job not too long ago, and getting up at 5:30 am each morning means that A) I'm still half asleep and B) I need a quick and easy go to make up look, which is where this little beauty comes in.

This palette consists of 8 eyeshadows: 3 browns, 3 greys, a pink and a white. The browns and white are the shades I gravitate towards on a daily basis, but have used the 3 greys for a smokey evening look and loved them. Each shade is highly pigmented and blends like a dream, and the thing I look for in any eyeshadow is that they're all neutral toned.

There are 2 straight out mattes: the pink and the darkest brown, the white, lightest grey and medium brown seem to have a slight sheen to them and the medium grey, dark grey and lightest brown are a frosty finish

The palette also comes with a large mirror which makes this great for travelling too. Even though this is called the 'Day palette' I definitely think it's versatile and can be used to create a subtle and strong smokey eye, using the greys and the browns.

The only shadow that I noticed any fall out from was the first shade, however it was only a small amount and nothing that couldn't be swept away with a clean fluffy brush

I've used and love each shade from this palette, but I have to say that I think my favourite is the white. It's the perfect brow bone highlight (for me anyway) and it's the only shadow I use for highlighting now.

This fast became my favourite go to palette

Have you tried out any of the Primark make up?

March Favourites 2014

Hi Beauts.

We've reached the end of March already which can only mean one thing: monthly favourites time. I've actually been loving quite a few products this month, a lot of which are new things to me.

Here we go:

* Nspa melting gel cleanser - I have a full review here if you'd like to read what I thought, but in a nutshell this is amazing. It's a gel like fae wash that turns into a cleansing milk when it comes into contact with water. This melts away every inch of make up and leaves the skin soft and radiant

* Nspa mango shower gel - One of my all time favourite scents is mango. This shower gel has to be the strongest scented shower gel I've ever used! It smells amazing, lathers amazing and leaves my skin smelling gorgeous

* MUA eyebrow kit - This eyebrow kit is my every day eyebrow product but there has been one shade in particular I've been loving - the warm toned colour. I've been using this shade as a transition shade for my eyes and it has worked perfectly at allowing other shadows to blend and warming up my eye looks

* Primark P.S Love felt eye liner pen - A new product to me and one that is super easy to use and extremely pigmented. I have a full review here if you'd like to know more about it. But this could actually be my new favourite eyeliner

* MUA Lash Boom mascara - Again another new product to me and one I have a full review on here. This lengthens, separates and adds volume to each lash without any clumping. Not to mention it has a pretty funky wand

* Barry M matte nail paint in 'Espresso' - I have enough nail polishes to last a life time, but eventually caved and picked this one up. I wasn't sure how much I'd like a matte nail polish, but I really enjoyed using it. It was definitely matte, super opaque and long lasting

* Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in 'Sugar Apple' - This, in my opinion, is the perfect nail polish for spring, and is the best mint green I've come across. As with all Barry M Gelly Hi-shines, this is so glossy, smooth to apply, spigmented and lasted pretty much all week. If you're on the hunt for a mint green, look no further!

Thats it for my March favourites, what have you enjoyed using throughout the month?

P.S Love felt tip eyeliner

Hi Beauts.

Two of my Holy Grail products have to be both the MUA extreme felt liner and e.l.f's waterproof liquid liner pen. They're both easy to use, extremely opaque and budge proof. And unfortunately both just happened to run out around the same time.
I had intended to repurchase the MUA pen as it was easier to get hold of than the elf one, but I spotted Primark's very own version - P.S LOVE - and for £1.50, I thought it was worth a go.

I can usually tell straight away whether or not I'll like a product, and after using this the first time I loved it. This has to be the easiest to use from the 3 I've tried (MUA, elf and this one)
When I swatched it on the back of my hand I noticed that the tip wasn't flexible, which is what I usually look for as I find them easier to use.

However, my opinion soon changed when I applied a thin line and flick to my eye. It took one quick swipe of the pen to get an opaque, straight and perfect line! I normally draw the flick then create a line along my lashes and join the two, but with this liner I was able to start from my inner corner and apply the whole thing in one go.
As with the other two liners, this is super opaque and doesn't budge at all. I applied a swatch to the back of my hand and barely gave it time to dry before I tried rubbing it away. It dried pretty much instantly and didn't smudge at all.

I never really thought about trying out Primark's make up in the past, but if this eyeliner is anything to go by I can't wait to try out more!

Have you bought anything from the P.S Love range?
