Gosh velvet touch lip liner in Nougat Crisp

Hi Beauts.

Trends surround us every day, whether it be fashion or make up. I don't follow either to be honest, I like to just rock whatever I fancy that day. That's not to say I don't sometimes dip into a certain trend, and one that I've been pretty caught up with lately is the 'Kylie Jenner lip'.

So many people are sporting the dark brown nineties nude aren't they? I've never been one for brown shades as they never seemed to suit me, however this one I couldn't pass up.
Whilst raking through my make up collection yesterday I rediscoverd a lip liner I bought about a year ago, and seemed to forget about: Gosh velvet touch lip liner in 'Nougat Crisp'

I fancied something different to the berries and mauves I'd been wearing for the past couple of weeks, so applied this liner and knew this was going to be my go to look for quite a while. This shade is a little more on the warmer side, but is definitely that nineties colour and I'm in love.

Gosh lip liners are great if you want long lasting colour. I applied this shade at around 12pm yesterday, and it was still perfect when I got to work at 2:15pm and I'd eaten a packet of crisps.....how's that for staying power? Another thing I love is how creamy they are, they just glide on without any pulling or dragging the lips.

The gosh liners retail for £4.99 which is a whole lot less expensive than some of the lip products out there.

I may just need to pop to Superdrug and buy myself a back up before they fly off the shelves!

Are you currently rocking the Kylie Jenner lip?

Gosh Velvet touch eyeliner review

Hi Beauts.

I wouldn't say that I have sensitive eyes, but whenever I use a pencil liner my eyes seem to water slightly in the corners and I end up looking like a panda. I also have trouble keeping liner along my water line throughout the day, again hello panda!
One of the first waterproof liners I ever tried was the Gosh velvet in Black Ink I figured, it's waterproof so it has to stay put right?

After using these liners for probably 9 months to a year, I have to say they are the best high street liner I've used. They're smooth and creamy to apply so there's no dragging on your eyes (nobody wants premature wrinkles), they're very pigmented and they are indeed waterproof. Applied to my waterline I got are ounce 5 wear before I noticed the colour payoff start to drop to my lower lashline. My tight line, I got pretty much all day, my lower lashline I'd say I got 3 hours before it started to fade but not drop, and as for my upper lashline it basically stayed put until I removed my make up.

I'd say these are a good alternative (not a dupe) to the urban decay 24/7 liners, although I do find the urban decay ones a little more creamy and last a little longer. But for (£4.99) each and a wide variety of shades, I'm certainly not complaining.

Have you tried these?

Gosh Click 'N conceal

Hi Beauts.

You may remember me mentioning that I picked up two concealers on my quest to replace the one I had been using before, one being the Along Came Betty 'All concealed' kit and this one, the Gosh Click 'N' conceal in Light.

The writing has rubbed off already

Unlike the Along Came Betty one, this concealer is a liquid and comes in pen which I really enjoy using. I bought this in light to use as an under eye concealer, and it's light enough that it conceals and highlights the area. I'd say it has a pretty meduim consistency which makes it a medium coverage and that is perfect for me, I don't want anything too heavy under my eyes.

Once set with a powder this stays put pretty much all day and doesn't crease at all. I think because this is in a pen form it makes it easier to apply and create that triangle shape to highlight your under eye area. I do apply this using the brush but blend it out with my finger, as using the brush to blend causes the product to move.
To get product out, all you do is click the top two or three times and enough concealer is released to use on both eyes. When I first bought this, I did have to click it quite a lot to allow the product to move down the pen and through the brush. When I picked mine up, I spotted 2 other shades in medium and dark, and a corrector shade in green, I definitely think I'll give one of the corrector shade a go too, they seem like a great idea. This is available from most Superdrug stores for £6.99.

What's your favourite product for under your eyes?

My favourite.......Face products

Hi Beauts.

A couple of posts back, I shared all of my current skin and hair care products with you all. Today I wanted to do a little post on all of my current favourite face products, please bare in mind I have oily skin so these won't be loved by everyone. Using all of these products together seems to really work well, and I've been loving the staying power and finish a lot.

Foundation: Barry M flawless matte foundation. I usually go for a full coverage foundation or a buildable medium at the least, but I'd say this was a light to medium coverage. However I love using it none the less. I wouldn't say it was a matte finish, but it does keep me shine free

Concealer: Along came Betty all concealed in Light/Medium and Gosh Click 'N conceal in Light. I mix the light and medium shades together in the Along Came Betty concealer kit to hide any scars or blemishes and use the Gosh concealer as an under eye concealer. Full reviews on both coming soon, but I will say they last all day, conceal great and don't cake up or crease at all

Setting Spray: NYX matte finish. I absolutely LOVE this setting spray (Again full review to follow) I've used the Urban Decay De slick and I have to say, this is just as good in my opinion. It helps my make up last all day, and definitely keeps me matte

Blush: Along with highlights, blush is one of my favourite things, and I have so many I love. Flushed by Sleek is one that I probably love using the most. I also love MUA cream blushes too, they work surprisingly well with my skin type

Bronzer: Bourjois chocolate bronzer. I never used to bronze up on a daily basis, just on nights out, but had this sitting in my drawer feeling unloved so decided to start using it. I use it every day now, and love the nice glow it gives to my cheeks

Highlight: The Balm Mary-Lou Manizer. I'm a complete highlight junkie, I just can't get enough of them. This one from The Balm has been my favourite since the day I got it and for a cream highlight, I've been loving Along Came Betty's starlight shine highlighter in glow. It gives such a beautiful glowy sheen to my cheekbones

I'm still on the hunt for a cruelty free setting powder if anyone has any recommendations?

What are your favourite face products?
