July favourites

Hi Beauts.

Time for another favourites post. I won't complain about July being over because it means I'll be in New York next month, gaaaaaaaah SO excited!!!

Anyway, on with ze post :)

Face:

Garnier BB cream for oily/combination skin £9.99 - This has fast become my favourite face product. I bought it when I ran out of my Holy Grail Revlon colorstay and I'm so glad that I did. The coverage is medium but can be built to full, the finish is pretty matte which I love, it doesn't break me out and best of all, it lasts literally all day long!

Milani glimmer stripes in 'Honey Glimmer' £1.00 (poundland) - I found this in Poundland at the very beginning of the month and have used it every single day. I use the top 2 shades as a cheekbone highlight, and it just gives such a pretty sheen. I adore it and highly recommend getting one if you can

Eyes:

MAC eyeshadow in 'Malt' £12.50 - Another new buy at the beginning of the month and one I use every day. I wanted a new blending colour because I had been using my everyday bronzer, however I found it to be too warm tond with some eye looks I wore. So I picked up Malt from MAC which is a cooltone light brown, and is the perfect shade for blending out eyeshadow

Rimmel Scandaleyes Flex mascara £6.99 (I found mine in Boots for £4.49) - This has been my go to mascara every day. I have a full review here if you'd like to read more. It gives volume, adds length and separates....everything you'd need and want

Lips:

MAC lipstick in 'Syrup' £15.00 - Another MAC product this month, and maybe even my favourite MAC lipstick to date. As my cousin said to me 'That's such a Stacey shade' and it's true. I always steer towards mauves and berries, I just can't help it. I hate to say it, but this is a 'My lips but better' kinda lippy

Balance Me shine on tinted lip salve in 'Sheer raspberry' I got mine free with Glamour magazine - I've loved using this ontop of lipsticks and even just on it's own. It's like a non-sticky lipgloss and a lip balm in one. It gives the shine of a gloss and the moisture of a balm

Music:

Some songs I've constantly had on repeat this month

Jason Derulo - The other side
Lady Antebellum - Never alone
Naughty boy - La la la
Ellie Goulding - Burn
Natalia Kills - Lights out
Christina Aguilera - Cease fire

What have you been loving this month?

Fancy giving my second blog some love?

Maybelline Babylips in Cherry me

Hi Beauts.

I think this is going to be a post that every beauty blogger has either read or written: Maybelline BabyLips.

These little beauties started doing the rounds in America first and have only just launched in the UK. I'm not 100% if they're out in stores just yet, but they're definitely available to buy online from Boots and Superdrug.

I bought mine in Cherry Me which in the tube is just that, a pretty cherry shade. Once applied to the lips it's a pretty sheer colour but still as pretty.

Babylips claim to be a moisturising lip balm with a hint of colour, and they are just that. I personally think they are really moisturising and I love the amount of colour that they give off. I can't say whether there are any long term effects from using this as I've only used it for a couple of days, but short term my lips do feel more moisturised and soft.

I never usually give in to the hype of products but I'm glad I did this time. I wouldn't say it may become holy grail, but I'm definitely glad that I bought it and I shall be buying more. At £2.99 I think they're reasonably priced, they're pretty much the same price as other lip balms. I was actually expecting them to be more expensive, so hi-5 Maybelline!

The lowdown:

Price: £2.99
Shades: 6
Sheer but buildable
Smells great
Leaves lips soft and moisturised
Gives lips a pretty sheen

Have you tried the Babylips yet? What's your favourite?

If I could only have one

Hi Beauts.

Recently I was looking and watching (not stalking) MissBudgetBeauty's videos and came across a video called 'If I could only have one' Basically it's a TAG in which you can only choose one product from each category: Foundation, concealer and so on. I really enjoyed it so thought I'd do a little blog post and share what I chose :)

Let's start with face

Foundation - Revlon colorstay. This is the only foundation I find that works with my skin type, lasts pretty much all day and has great coverage
Concealer - Collection lasting perfection. I think every make up lover has this in their collection. Great consistency, brightens under the eyes and doesn't crease
Powder - SEVENTEEN Miracle matte pressed powder. This literally keeps me shine free all day, doesn't cake up or oxidise and adds a little extra coverage too
Blush - No7 Candy pink. I chose this because I think it's the perfect pink and looks great with any lipstick or eye colour that I wear
Highlight - Collection  shimmer and shade 'Just peachy' As you can tell this is well loved. I use this almost every day as a cheekbone highlight and sometimes on my brow bone. It's an off white colour and matte, which I prefer

Eyes and Lips

Eyeshadow - MUA Shade 20. I chose a matte black as you can do a few looks with it: cut crease, winged liner, smokey eye, blend it out to a dark grey. That and I'm all for dark eyes. This is the blackest black that I own, is SO pigmented and blends easily
Liner - MUA Extreme felt liner. This is my everyday, Holy grail liner. It's pigmented and easy to use, and once it's on it ain't going anywhere! My full review is here
Mascara - Clinique High Impact. I need to repurchase this but I have way too many mascaras on the go at the minute. It lengthens, separates and gives volume and I love it!
Lip liner - Prestige 'Silk'. This is (I hate to say it) my lips but better and goes with literally every lipstick I own. I even wear this  all over my lips and a gloss over the top sometimes too
Lipstick - YSL Rouge Volupte '01' I had to choose this because it's the perfect pinky nude and it's so moisturising. Not to mention it has the prettiest packaging. I have a review here
Lipgloss - NYX mega shine. I have a full review on these glosses. They're not sticky , the coloured shades are so pigmented and they last longer than any other gloss I own

Well that's what I chose, what would you pick?

Don't forget to check out my Lifestyle blog beauts! :)

Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeshadow stick in Bulletproof Beige

Hi Beauts.

I've been lacking in the old posts of late (I had quite a few drafted up) Life has just been a bit crazy lately and to be honest I've been lacking inspiration too. However I'm back on the ball and today I bring to you a review of a new(ish) product. Rimmel scandaleyes eyeshadow stick in the shade 'Bulletproof beige'

In all honesty when I first spotted these I wasn't going to buy one because I just figured straight off the bat that it would crease like a MoFo. However I read a great review (I can't remember who, sorry) and I was completely sold on the idea.

I got mine in Bulletproof beige because I wanted a neutral shade that I could get a lot of use out of. I didn't just want something to use as an eyeliner or a dark shade I could stick in my outer corner, I wanted something light and bright with a bit of sparkle.

The first time I used this, I applied it as an eyeshadow base for the big test: Would it crease throughout the day? And the answer, nope it wouldn't. I applied this all over my lid and blended slightly into the crease and then applied a similar shade in eyeshadow on top. The shimmer in this eyeshadow stick made my eyeshadow pop even more and definitely helped with longevity. There was no creasing and no budging from this, and I got 12 hours wear from this and it was still going strong.

The next day I decided to use it all over my lid and along my lower lashline, with a tiny bit eyeshadow in my crease to add some dimension. Again it stayed put all day long without any creasing. It didn't drop from my lashline either which I usually find happens with creamy products.

This eyeshadow stick claims to be waterproof too, and I have to say I completely agree. As soon as I bought it I had to swatch it on my hand and honestly it wouldn't come off! On my eyes it did come off relatively easy with make up remover. The product itself is smooth and creamy to apply and just glides on, so there's no pulling of the eye area. It's really easy to blend out too but once dry it ain't budging.

I'd describe the shade as a shimmery, golden champagne that's a little on the warm side. But not so warm toned that if your on the cooler side you can't pull it off. I'm cool toned and this looks fine on me, I don't have that ill look about me when I wear it.

The Lowdown:

Cost: £4.49
shades: 5
Product: 3.25g
Lasts at least 12 hours
Doesn't crease
Waterproof
Can be worn alone and/or with eyeshadow
Smooth, creamy and easy to apply

Have you tried any of these yet?

P.S I decided to make a second lifestyle blog, I'd love for you to check it out?

The lipstick TAG

Hi Beauts.

I recently read the lipstickblog's 'The lipstick TAG' post and thought that it was a great TAG to do. I have a stupid amount of lipsticks, but I do wear them all (obviously not all at once, I don't want to look like a box of crayola threw up on my face) and I have to say I think lipstick is my favourite product to buy. So this TAG is perfect :)

1 - How many lipsticks do you own?

Well I'm a little ashamed to admit this, but I have 74 in my collection. How bad is that?!!

2 - What was your first ever lipstick?

I honestly can't remember. I'm 27 now and started wearing clear mascara and lipstick when I was about 12, so I'm going to guess it was something hideous like a pearly pink shade that made me look dead. In my defence, it was the 90's :P

3 - What is your most worn lipstick?

This is a tough one as I'm always changing up my lipsticks, but it's probably either seventeen beehive, MAC Innocence Beware or MAC Angel

4 - What is your favourite brand for lipstick?

Although I love MAC lipsticks, I have to say elf! The pigmentation is amazing and they last for hours on the lips

5 - What is your favourite finish?

I like a glossy finish. I like. The look of matte lipsticks but I find them too drying

6 - What was the last lip product that you bought?

Revlon lip butter in Red Velvet, I LOVE it

7 - How many lip products do you have in your bag? (including balms and glosses)

I currently have 6 - 2 lip liners (the same shade for some reason) a lipstick, a lipgloss, a balmi lip balm and Carmex

8 - What lipstick do you wear to rock a red lip?

My favourite red lippy has to be collection lasting colour in 12 Valentine. It's the perfect red and has great staying power

9 - How do you store your lipsticks?

I have my most worn/most loved lipsticks in an acrylic lipstick holder I got from eBay, and the rest I just keep in a drawer

10 - What lip products are you currently lusting after?

I really want the Revlon just bitten kissable balm stain in Honey, L'oreal glam shine stains in 102 and 400, and L'oreal Rouge caresse in 203, 03, 101, 01 and 103

I loved doing this TAG, and I'm now pretty sure that I don't need any more lipsticks in my life for a while :P

Foundations and BB creams for oily to combination skin

Hi Beauts.

I've never been one for owning more than one foundation at a time because if I find something that works for me, I stick to that one product.
However, looking through my collection the other day I realised that I currently have six foundations/BB creams on the go! How did that even happen?! The ones I have are targeted at oily/combination skin, so I thought it would be helpful to others with said skin-type if I did some mini reviews n the products I have. And the best thing is, they're all high-street/drugstore :)

Let's start with BB creams

Garnier BB Miracle skin perfector oil free Usual price £9.99, currently on offer in Boots for £6.99 -  This is amazing if you suffer from oily skin like I do. I was unsure whether I wanted to try this after reading mixed reviews, but I'm so glad I did. It's a very runny consistency which I find helps the product go further and the coverage is medium but I find I barely need any concealer when I wear this. I didn't break out at all from this like I've read other people have and this stayed put all day! Even in this heat. If you're looking for a great BB cream I highly recommend giving this a shot

Rimmel  9-in-1 BB cream £6.99 - I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with this BB cream. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it refuses to play ball. If I don't use any skincare, this applies great but if I cleanse, tone and moisturise then it rolls into pieces all over my face when I blend it in. I've also noticed that the more I blend it, the more orange it becomes. I got mine in 'Light' but I'd say this certainly isn't light.

Foundations:

Rimmel Stay matte foundation £6.99 - I'm pretty sure this was the first ever foundation I ever tried and I used to love it. Now? Not at all. I think the formula has changed along with the packaging, it used to be quite a liquid consistency and now I find it to be really thick. The colour is off too, I got mine in Ivory and it's kinda orange looking. This did keep my face matte all day, but my skin felt really tight and dry and it didn't last any longer than 2 -3 hours before it started to oxidise and vanish from the oiliest parts of my face. Not a winner for me!

Rimmel lasting finish foundation £6.99 - Another Rimmel product, and one that I actually really enjoy using. This doesn't give a matte finish which I usually prefer, but it doesn't give a dewy finish either. I haven't tested whether this lasts 25 hours but I will say it lasts the working day, I do have to powder a little on my T-zone but I have to touch up my powder with most foundations. I'd say this was a medium coverage but is buildable to full

NYC all day long foundation usual price £3.99, currently on offer in Superdrug for £2.99 - I like this foundation but don't love it.The colour match is one of the closest out of all of the above foundations but isn't perfect. The coverage is medium but again, can be built to full. It blends out easily and doesn't dry to quickly so makes application easy. I did need to powder through the day, like most foundations, but for the price I think it's a pretty good foundation

Revlon colorstay combination/oily skin £12.49 - This is probably my all time favorite foundation, and one that I know I will always repurchase time and time again. This is a medium - full coverage, gives a flawless finish, doesn't cake up, lasts all day and gives a matte finish. Everything I look for in a foundation. The only negative thing I'd say is I don't love the packaging, I think it'd be so much better with a pump.

I'm going to have to cheat and pick 2 winners because I love them equally :P.........

Garnier BB cream and Revlon colorstay!

Do you have any good recommendations?

The summer fun has officially begun.......

Hi Beauts.

If you read my post from the other day, you may know that I've decided to make this summer the best yet. I put together a small list of things I plan on doing, and today I wanted to share with you a post (of many to come) about a fab weekend I've had. Summer fun 2013 has commenced!!

Saturday shenanigans

My cousin and I decided we wanted to go for a picnic so we decided to head to Jesmond Dene, somewhere I've never ventured before. I have to say, I think it's one of the prettiest places I've seen. There's trees everywhere, a river and the best part (other than the ice cream van!) animals <3

Before we actually found Jesmond Dene (we may have gotten lost) we stumbled upon a park and being the big kids that we are, we decided to have a go on the swings......and slide

Next we finally found our way into Jesmond Dene through what seemed like a never ending forest. Of course by this time we were hungry so stopped off to munch on our picnic then headed off in the direction of the animals.

I personally think it was the perfect day to start off a fun filled summer, and I'll definitely be looking forward to more adventures.

What did you get to at the weekend?

Rimmel Scadaleyes Flex mascara

Hi Beauts.

When Rimmel announced that they were bringing out a new Scadaleyes mascara, I admit it wasn't top of my 'I must have' list. I'd tried the original Scandaleyes - In the bright orange tube - and if I'm honest I really didn't like it at all. I found the wand too thick to use as I couldn't get a proper grip, the bristles were too chunky that I kept poking myself in the eye and getting mascara all over my lid and the actual product smudged throughout the day.

Anywhoo, enough of the negatives of that mascara and onto the massive positives for this one: Scandaleyes flex:

Now the first thing I'm going to say is that I'm almost certain that the wand and bristles are exactly the same size and chunkiness as the original so I have no idea why I can use this one and not that one!

This mascara claims to contain a 'Flexible formula with enhanced weightless LYCRA technology  makes lashes look full and voluptuous but remain flexible, never stiff or brittle!'

I completely agree with the above statement! After applying one coat my lashes looked HUGE, separated and well just amazing. I also noticed that throughout the day they didn't 'dry' out (or smudge) so the claim that they never go 'stiff or brittle'  is true too! And this definitely feels lightweight, even with two coats I can barely tell I have anything on my lashes.

I usually don't love a mascara straight away, I like it to be open for a few days so it dries a little and then I can tell if I like or dislike it. Not this time, I loved it from the first time I applied it. If, like me, you weren't overly keen on the original, I'd say give this a bash. I guarantee you'll be pleasantly surprised

If you have tried this, what did you thick? Did you like the original too?

A weekend isn't complete without a haul

Hi Beauts.

So as you can probably tell from the title of this post, I may have been shopping again. I'm not actually one for going all out and spending my monthly wage in one go, I prefer to buy bits and bobs over the weeks. I love to have mini shopping trips rather than one big splurge then be skint all month. Although, I'd much rather have huge splurging shopping trips throughout the month........one can dream.

Once again Stacey rambles on about nothing, lets get on with the haul:

Miss Sporty nail polish in Pulp Fiction £1.99 - This has been on my list for the longest time because I'm pretty sure (not 100%) that this is a dupe for Essie Butler Please. If anyone has both can you let me know please? It's driving me crackers :P

Sinful colors nail polish in Nail Junkie £1.99 - I LOVE these nail polishes, they apply smooth and last almost a week without chipping! I read a post a week or so back from a gorgeous bbloggers (for the life of me I can't remember who) and she'd swatches this little beauty, so I knew I had to add it to my collection

Revlon kissable balm stain in Honey usual price £7.99, Boots have it on sale for £5.99 - This is another product I've been hankering after for ages. One of my favourite YouTubers - Leighannsays always raves about this. It's such a pretty shade, and I love the revlon balm stains anyway

Black linen shorts £5.00 from Primark - Anyone who knows me knows I'm not one to get my legs out EVER! However I thought enough was enough and I'd buy myself some shorts, even to just sit in the garden. Get your sunglasses at the ready world, it's about to get VERY bright

Black and white spotty shorts £4.00 from Primark - I bought a pair of these a while ago in white with blue funky patten on for my holiday to NYC, and found they fit really well and most importantly they aren't too short. Black goes with anything so I decided to pick up another pair

Navy and white striped vest £2.50 from Primark - Navy and white striped anything is my favourite at the minute, so I just had to pick this up. I think these verse are great quality for the price!

Grey and red raglan baseball top £4.00 from Primark - These are without a doubt my favorite tops in the world. I'd literally only have these in my wardrobe if it didn't make me boring haha I have three currently and have been on the hunt for more for ages, Primark never let's me down!

Did you go shopping over the weekend? What bargains did you pick up?

Top 11 products I would repurchase

Hi Beauts.

I know I'm not alone when I say this, how devastating is it when you run out of one of your Holy grail products?! I have a never ending list of products I love, but I've *just* about managed to narrow I'd down to 11 (It was actually supposed to be 10 but I just couldn't do it!). I haven't included my foundation, concealer and powder as I think I've spoken about them 50000 times before (Revlon colorstay, collection lasting perfection and SEVENTEEN miracle matte pressed powder)
Here's what I'd repurchase in a heartbeat:

Face

Urban Decay De slick - This is probably the most important in my 11 :P  products I won't lie. I've said it a thousand times but I have oily skin so need something to keep my make up in place. No matter what foundation I wear, it stays put whenever I wear this

Garnier BB cream for oily/combination skin - There's no way on Gods green earth I couldn't include this! This may well take over my Revlon colorstay if I'm honest. It's lightweight, has GREAT coverage, doesn't break me out and best of all it lasts all day long with and without a primer!

Collection shimmer and shade in Just Peachy - I bought this about a year ago and it's the highlighter that I always reach for. It's a matte off white shade and gives a subtle highlight which I love. Unfortunately I have a feeling this has been discontinued *Sad face*

Eyes:

Soap and Glory What's Nude Lid stuff - If you're after a neutrals palette but don't want to push the boat out and spend a lot the this is for you. There's a highlight, a transition/all over lid shade, a matte cool toned dark brown and a shimmery taupe shade. These eyeshadows are SO pigmented, soft and very easy to blend out. I absolutely adore this quad

MUA Extreme felt liner - This is the only 'liquid' liner that I've ever repurchased time and time again, I even have a back up. It's so easy to use, it's extremely pigmented and best of all it doesn't budge or smudge all day!

MUA Eyebrow kit - Another product from MUA, this time their eyebrow kit. I've tried pencils from different brands which I like, and eyeshadows that I've loved but this is the product that I always go back to. And one that I will definitely be buying again. There's a shade to suit everyone, a wax to set your brows and a set of tweezers and an angled brush - perfect for travelling

Accessorize Volumising Mascara - My sister bought this for Christmas (I think because it's leopard print) and it's one of the best mascara's I've used. It does just what it says it will, gives mass amounts of volume. It also separates too and just makes my lashes look 10x better than with any other mascara. My local Superdrug doesn't stock it, so the hunt is on!

MAC Eyeshadow in Malt - I've only had this a little while but I already know that once this has gone I'll definitely be repurchasing another. This is the PERFECT transition shade for my skintone and it helps eyeshadow blend out amazingly

Maybelline color tattoo in On and On bronze - Im pretty sure this is a huge hit for any make up lover. It's a beautiful neutral toned bronze and makes a great base for eyeshadows and looks just as beautiful on its own. There's no creasing or smudging, and it lasts on the lid all day

Lips:

Prestige lip liner in Silk - I bought this on a make up stall in town and as soon as I'd tried it I went back and bought 4 back ups! At 99p a pop I'd be an idiot not to. This is (as beauty bloggers like to call) my lips but better. It looks amazing with a clear gloss over the top, and makes a great base for any shade of lipstick

MAC Lipstick in Angel - This is the perfect pink shade, and my most used MAC lipstick. If I'm ever unsure which lipstick I want to wear this is the one that I gravitate towards every time. It would definitely suit everyone, and one that everyone should have in their collection fo sho!

What would make it to your top 11?, or 10 :P

Summer time fun

Hi Beauts.

Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a bit of a list freak. I have shopping lists, bucket lists, wish lists, to do lists, lists for lists. So I thought why not make a summer list. Every year I plan on doing lots of fun things but things always get in the way, one thing being the poop weather. However this year, come rain or shine everything on this list will have a big fat tick next to it.

Camping
Strawberry picking
Wine tasting
Have numerous picnics, in a park, on the beach, in a field full of cows...........anywhere
Go to Edinburgh Zoo
Go to a theme park
Send a message in a bottle
Days at the beach eating sandy sandwiches
A girlie spa day
Spend a day shopping in another city
Have a BBQ and toast marshmallows around a fire
Spend a day/night at the lakes
Have a fun filled sleepover with the girls, like the good old days. Films, pizza, face masks, the lot
Go to an aquarium
Get my face painted......yes, I'm choosing to spend the summer acting like an 8 year old
Just have an amazing summer!

Let the summer fun commence!!

What will you be getting up to this summer?

MUA lipstick collection with swatches

Hi Beauts.

If you read my post the other day of my MUA eyeshadow palettes overview then you'll know I'm a huge fan of the brand.
As well as a bit of a collection of their palettes, I have a fair few lipsticks and wanted to do another post of the lippies I have. I always find these posts helpful whenever I'm looking to buy a make up product, so I hope that some of you find this post helpful too

Let's go light to dark:

Shade 4

This is a pretty bright pink in the tube but once applied it's quite sheer. It is buildable though and gives a gorgeous baby pink colour. This is one of the more moisturising and glossy lipsticks from the range

Shade 'Bare'

This is the only nude in the lipstick range, and a great one at that. It isn't as glossy as shade 4, but it's still quite moisturising. I'd say this is a great nude for all skin tones, not one that will make you look dead :P

Shade 7

This shade is kind of a pinky orange colour which I didn't think I'd like (I never go for oranges/peaches) but I really enjoy wearing it

Shade 6

Shade 6 is such a pretty pink shade with an extra sheen to it

Shade 'Nectar'

A peachy coral shade which is perfect if you have pale skin like I do. I usually find corals/oranges/peaches too warm for my skin tone, but this works great

Shade 12 (I think, the label came off)

This is a vibrant cool-toned pink and I think it's perfect for summer. Not one for you if you don't like to sport a very bright look. I like to pair this with winged liner for a different take on the pin up look

Shade 13

The perfect pin up red in my opinion, and probably the lipstick I reach for the most when I'm going for a red lip

Shade 2

This shade is a pretty plummy purple colour and looks great on paler skintones

Shade 1

This is a gorgeous vampy red, and great for Autumn. Again smooth to apply and super pigmented

Each of the MUA lipsticks are £1.00 each. These are definitely one of my favourite brands of lippies, not only are they SO inexpensive, but they're smooth to apply, not drying at all, super pigmented and they last all day. The brighter and darker shades leave a stain behind, which looks like you've only just applied your lipstick.

Have you tried out any of these shades? Which is your favourite?

SEVENTEEN Miracle matte pressed powder

Hi Beauts.

We all have holy grail items in our make up bags right girls? One of mine has to be SEVENTEEN's Miracle matte pressed powder

I first discovered this after watching one of Ms Budget Beauty's videos where she raved about this powder. That was me sold and about a year and a half later I haven't tried anything else. I have to say that their regular pressed powder is amazing too, I think this one keeps me a little more matte though.

I get mine in the shade ivory/porcelain and as well as giving me a matte finish it also adds a little extra coverage too which I like. On the odd occasion that I have to re powder (it just depends if my foundation is playing ball that day) I can do so without worrying about looking orange or cakey. This has yet to cake up or oxidise like other powders I've tried in the past, yet another Hi-5 SEVENTEEN.

I really like the packaging too, yes it's simple but it's sturdy, compact and has a mirror which means I can chuck it in my bag and not worry about whether I'm going to have make up everywhere. It also comes with a powder puff which I never use, I always apply mine with an elf flat top powder brush and just pat it into my skin. I find this gives me the best coverage and finish, and stops my foundation and concealer from sliding all over.

If, like me, you have oily skin this is definitely a powder you have to try. And if you don't have oily but want a great powder try their regular pressed powder. I promise, you won't be disappointed.

MUA palette overview

Hi Beauts.

I'm pretty certain that all beauty lovers out there own at least one product from MUA, and if you don't you really should.

MUA are a brand (an amazing one at that) with high quality products ranging from primers to foundations, eyeshadows to lipsticks, the whole she-bang. And the best thing of all is they're super inexpensive.
I have rather a large array of products and after writing up my 'Top picks' post, I thought I'd do a bit of an overview of the palettes that I have.

In no particular order,

Heaven and Earth £4.00:

This is a warmed toned neutral palette, filled with 12 shimmery shadows. It contains 2 great highlight shades, bronzes, light browns and dark browns. This is great for creating day to day looks, and brown smokey eyes for nights out.

Undressed £4.00:

Another neutral palette, but this time this one has 2 matte shadows and 10 shimmery shades. Shade 3 is a great matte transition shade and again this has 2 great highlight shades. The black looks shimmery in the pan, but is more of a matte once applied and blended in. The black and navy/gun mental shade make this palette great for creating day to night looks. This palette is also supposed to be a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked palette.

Undress me too £4.00:

Yet another neutrals palette (can you see a theme here?) However this one is more of a cool tone palette, and again contains 3 matte shades, a highlight, soft brown and a black, and 9 shimmers. The only bad thing I have to say about this is that the black shadow is so hard to get any colour payoff, other than that this is my favourite palette from MUA.

Going for Gold £4.00:

This was a limited edition palette for the Olympics (I'm not sure if its still available?) and contains 4 silver shades, 3 golds, 2 orangey golds and a bronze. All of the shadows are shimmery and I have to say, the 3 golds are some of the best I've tried yet!

The Artiste Palette £6.00:

This is the perfect palette if you travel a lot. It contains 6 eyeshadows, 2 pink blushes, a matte neutral toned bronzer and a pink pearlescent highlighter. So many looks can be created with this, and I think each product can be used in multiple ways

Each of these palettes have amazing quality eyeshadows in them. The pigmentation is great and they blend out really well. Needless to say, I'll be adding a few more to my collection soon!

That's it for the palettes I own, which is your favourite?
